Insurance

We have lived through the Christchurch earthquakes, and have seen first-hand the devastation for families when their home is damaged or destroyed. We supported many Canterbury residents through their builds, at a time more stressful than most, and are sensitive to insurance challenges.

Winton Street

Damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes, Pete and Cath’s St Albans character home needed careful repair. The work involved replacing much loved elements of the pre-1930s four bedroom home.

The home’s charm resides in the details belonging to houses of this era; timber floors and windows, dado rails, handcrafted joinery, high ceilings and over-height doors. Winton Street also boasts cedar shingles and gable forms and an entrance with twinned leadlight windows and an ornate plaster arch.

The team paid attention to detail to ensure the couple’s repair of their beautiful home was to a high standard and as they remembered. Where needed, AJ Scott brought in trusted specialists to fully realise details, including plasterers who specialise in heritage homes.

The home received a Registered Master Builders House of the Year Gold Award.
